Golden Ponds Nature Area

Four fishing ponds and 2.6 miles of trails on 88 acres, with Longs Peak views and the western trailhead of the St. Vrain Greenway.

The 88-acre nature area includes 56 acres of water in four ponds, 2.6 miles of trails, an accessible fishing pier, two restrooms and nine picnic shelters. Fishing is open to all ages, and belly boats are the only boats allowed. Dogs are allowed on leash. It is the trailhead for the western end of the St. Vrain Greenway, and the City notes waterfowl such as great blue herons and cormorants are easy to spot.
