Trail
St. Vrain Greenway
About 8 miles of trail along the St. Vrain from Golden Ponds to Sandstone Ranch, which the City calls the crown jewel of Longmont's trail system.
The greenway runs about 8 miles from Golden Ponds Nature Area to Sandstone Ranch, linking parks, schools and nature areas including Roger’s Grove, Izaak Walton and Dickens Farm, and connects to the Left Hand Greenway. It mixes concrete bike paths, gravel walking paths and nature trails, with trailheads at Golden Ponds, Roger’s Grove, the Boulder County Fairgrounds, Izaak Walton Pond, 119th Street, County Road 1 and Sandstone Ranch, among others. Dogs are not allowed, leashed or not, on the roughly 1-mile stretch from the County Line trailhead east to Sandstone Ranch, and the City asks users to check its Trail Status Map for flood-repair closures.
